- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I was almost 74 when I took sick. I was in Cambodia working to establish my educational center in the capital city, but I spent time with my in-laws at their rice growing area. Diabetes type 2 led to hammer toes, and one picked up an infection Doctors in the city told me I needed to return to the States for treatment,a nd i met Dar Romero at the Seton medical Center. His competence came through immediately, and I elected amputation of one toe because the infection did not respond to antibiotics. The procedure and after care, rehabilitation and continuing followups over the subsequent seenteen months have left me delighted that Dr. Romero has come into my life.
