- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I went to Seaton NW's "minor er" w/a complaint that I was getting shingles. I had not developed lesions, but had all the symptoms- you know if you've had it. After establishing that I had insurance, the nice nurse said she couldn't see evidence of shingles and sent me back to see the doctor, who couldn't either. He offered to give me an MRI, which I declined, then gave me a prescription for an anti-viral- which is what I was asking for. It was a Friday night and I knew that I could be really sick by Monday morning when my regular doctor started answering his phones at 9am. So much for saving myself the misery- I received a bill for $1100., which they discounted to $780. because they have a contractual agreement w/my insurance carrier. The doctor sent me a separate bill for $200+ on top of the facility charge. I'm pretty sure my insurance company and I were 'taken to the cleaners' by Seaton NW and their so-called Minor ER Clinic.
