Dr. Hull was apathetic and rude during my appointment. I made an appointment with him because my PCP was booked and I needed some help ASAP. I was in a considerable amount of pain but it didn't warrant the ER. I half expected him to diagnose me with "female hysteria" as he seemed outright disgusted that I cried. He ended up telling me that I "looked fine" and to take an advil... as if I hadn't tried that. He took a phone call mid appointment and didn't come back for about 10 minutes. He then pawned me out to another physician. I think Dr. Hull is burned out and counting the day's till retirement. Don't let your care suffer because he's had it with his job.

I don't like this doctor. I'm no curmudgeon either, I usually like people. Curmudgeon is actually a good word to describe doctor Hull. I found him curt and irritable. Needlessly unpleasant and hurried are descriptions that also come to mind. I can tolerate a bad personality if he or she is greatly skilled. He did not appear to be so. I came to him with a very urgent and serious medical issue. He said he had never seen anything like it and even seemed afraid of it. His response was unprofessional, to say the least. What's more, he called in his partner to "show this off." The only helpful thing Dr. Hull did was refer me to a dermatologist who promptly identified the problem and provided immediate treatment (Dr. Viernes, whom I highly recommend). I picked Dr. Hull, because he was on my insurance list of approved doctors and because he was available that day. I now see why his schedule is so open. It's simple: try another internal medicine doctor.

  • I too have been with Dr. Hull for almost 30 years and if not for his brilliance I might not be here. I don't consider myself a bad patient but I get really irritated when my body fails and the answer to my diagnosis is, "I don't know." There have been times when these same words poured from Dr. Hull's mouth. You know what didn't come from his mouth? The words, I give up. I have been on both ends of his spectrum. I have been dismissed and I have been rewarded with his brilliant mind. I don't just like my doctor . I love him! Like any other person who gets irritated so does he. If he's had patient after patient back to back all day with diagnosis's that aren't obvious and he's has to put that brain to work. Who wouldn't I ask you? I am a straight shooter and so is he with me. I don't know about other patients but I prefer to get it straight. Don't think you are gonna go to any reputable doctor who isn't familiar with you and think you are gonna get narcotics. If a person needs that I would suggest going to the hospital. In my opinion he and Dr. Myerson who's no longer there were great together. Now, that was a strange doctor but he saved my husbands life 2x!! I don't know when he will retire but it will be a sad day for me. Probably a joyous one for him I'm sure I gave him 4 stars cuz no one is perfect. Good luck to all of you!!
